Have you ever thought of a world where we never meet?

Where I don't kiss every rock you kick down the street?

And where my mind didn’t spell your birth?

Where our love was pure and real

And so were you?

“Ink on a page” is all they said you were

But I know you were more

At night when you came to my bed

With my pillows underneath your head

I put you in a book and you came to life

And I know you got here in the knick of time

I thought I was going insane

Until I met you, the perfect girl, hiding from the rain
